Fresh from sold out shows at MICF for the show’s debut, One Womb Please! comes to where Sarah Maree used to live - Geelong!
Sarah Maree Cameron is an award-winning radio presenter. She came out of the Melbourne lockdowns gigging hard and supporting comics like Claire Hooper, Dave Thornton, Dave O’Neil, Harley Breen, Akmal Saleh, Sami Shah, Adam Rozenbachs and The Stevenson Experience to name a few.
SMC has toured Australia performing improv comedy shows at Perth’s Fringe World, Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Now Sarah Maree is ready to go solo and has been focusing on her stand-up comedy and debut show “One Womb Please!”. She’s taken parts of the show to Australia and Canada and is ready to come full term in Geelong.
After being diagnosed with Cervical Cancer and Endometriosis (plus other things to do with her pipes) Sarah Maree has had to go down the path of IVF and now surrogacy. If you know all about this or nothing at all - this is a show for you!
"Sarah Maree is piss yourself funny. Bring nappies!" - Harley Breen
"It’s hard to imagine this is her first solo show… She really owns the stage. With her voice and body language she brings great energy. Real stories are as shocking as they are funny." - James Shaw, Brunswick Daily
"The naturalness of this show is something you rarely see. It just feels like a friend is telling you some funny but personal stories. ‘One Womb Please!' is one of the highlights of this year's festival." - Dave Griffiths, Subculture Media
"Sarah Maree’s ‘One Womb Please!’ is a perfect mix of vulnerability and irreverence. Hilarious and warm, this show is a must!" - Sally Spicer, Future Women
"Hilarious, vulnerable, educative, courageous and hopeful. Sarah Maree talked about her experiences with chronic illness and IVF - I have no doubt that sharing her story through comedy will help many people too." - Carly Findlay, OAM
